American Queen Steamboat Sails Again

Have you ever longed to take a river cruise but didn’t want to fly to Europe to do it? Now you don’t have to!

American Queen is the most opulent and legendary riverboat ever built. Passengers will find luxurious staterooms, superb meals by Chef Regina Charboneau, and showboat style entertainment. The inaugural cruise takes place from April 25 – May 4, 2012. Included in the $2,195 price is free train travel from many cities to Memphis, two night stay in five-star hotel in Memphis, welcome dinner at Rendezvous, formal ball, christening ceremony, seven-night cruise from Memphis to Cincinnati, all meals and entertainment on board, shore excursions, beer or wine at dinner and bottle water, coffee, and soda on board, and on-board guides. For those who long to step back in time to when travel was leisurely and immensely enjoyable, this is it!

There are other itineraries, such as Fall Colors on the Mississippi during late September, October, and early November. Note that the prices are higher than the inaugural cruise.
