During this episode of A Writer’s Journey: From Blank Page to Published, Sara and I talked about how to think like a publisher.
This is a necessity if you want to be successful. Publishers have to worry about the bottom line (making money), as well as many other things that most authors aren’t aware of, such as how to price a book, digital rights management, best launch date, and sales/distribution. We already talked about Bowker and ISBNs and barcodes, and all the other things publishers have to address during AWJ #22: The Nuts & Bolts of Publishing.
