Carolina Renaissance Festival

Filed Under: Mostly Ghostly Tagged With: Budget Travel

The 18th Annual Carolina Renaissance Festival begins on October 8 and runs every weekend through November 20 (rain or shine). This is a fun event for the whole family. There is music (including a Celtic-style band), dancers wearing cool medieval costumes, comedy shows, a royal feast, arts and crafts, rides, petting zoo, and a jousting tournament. I’ve heard there will even be elephant and camel rides! Something new this year is the Hanseatic League Living History Encampment where visitors can witness re-enactments.

The location is NC 73 at Poplar Tent Road in Huntersville, NC.

Tickets are a $1 cheaper if bought at any Harris Teeter grocery store. Discounts are given for seniors and military. For more information: www.royalfaires.com
