Can you believe it? I just got my Halloween decorations put away! And I’m not alone. A recent survey showed that 78% of us have not made travel reservations yet. Are you flying, driving, or staying home? If you’re flying, here’s a few things you should know:
*23% of the population will fly over the Thanksgiving holiday
*Holiday fares and schedules officially extend from 11/16 – 11/27
*Airplanes will be at 90% capacity during the Thanksgiving holiday period
*Tickets will cost 5 – 10% more than 2011
*Average ticket cost=$389
*Best days to avoid flying are 11/20, 11/21, 11/25, and 11/26
*Those willing to fly on Thanksgiving Day will pay the lowest fares (be sure to check alternate airports and be flexible with dates and times to save the most $$$)
