Hayrides, festivals, pumpkin-picking, haunted attractions, and corn mazes are popular fall activities. Corn mazes are interesting in that they vary greatly from specific patterns, such as the American flag and Halloween-themed designs. Participants spend a fun afternoon winding their way through the design as quickly as it takes them to figure out how to exit! Each year, more than 600 corn mazes can be found throughout the U.S, including haunted mazes. Here are the top ten:
1. Cool Patch Pumpkins (Dixon, CA). Since it extends more than 40 acres, it holds the Guinness World Record for size. Yes, maps are included! And there are bridges so that you can see over the ten-foot stalks from time to time to get your bearings. Other activities include a scarecrow contest and a corn bath! www.coolpatchpumpkins.com
2. Straw Maze (Rexburg, Idaho). Although this is built with hay not corn, it is worth a visit. It will challenge visitors with its elaborate design. And if you visit on the weekends, an added bonus is it becomes a haunted maze! www.strawmaze.com
3. Eliada’s Fields of Fun (Asheville, NC). Fields of Fun is an annual FUNdraiser for the Eliada Homes for Children. In addition to the fun corn maze, there is a trick-or-treat trail, pumpkin carving, and more. www.fieldsoffun.org
4. Krupski’s Vegetable & Pumpkin Farm (Peconic, NY). The farm features a four-acre haunted maze. A bonus is you can buy fresh produce and pumpkins from them.

Hi Terrance,
I noted that you provided a link to cornmazedir.com for a comprehensive list of corn mazes. The website appears to be down now. If you decide to replace it with another link, I hope you’ll consider my website, Funtober, a good alternative to link to instead. We have an extensive list of corn mazes as well as pumpkin patches.
