In a surprise move that can only be appreciated by horror movie fans, Raybin Management and the cruise industry have collaborated on a horror cruise. Next month, a SAW theme cruise will set sail. The Carnival Glory will leave New York city harbor and head to Canada, which is where most of the movies were shot. In between shore excursions highlighting film locations, fans of the SAW series can see all the movies in the ship’s movie theater. There will be all kinds of other activities to connect fans with the movies, such as a SAW tattoo contest, miniature golf tournament, and photo opps with stars from some of the SAW movies. Some of the actors slated to be on board include Costas Mandylor (Detective Hoffman) and Anne Greene (one of the victims).
FYI: There have been 7 SAW movies. The first was made in 2004. It was shot in 18 days with a very small budget. It was picked up by Lionsgate and made $103 million worldwide. It surpassed the SCREAM series for popularity.
