So nice to hear from a lot of you about my new website. The general feedback I’ve gotten is that you love it. Me too! Here are five more things I’ve learned from your feedback:

*you want to see a photo of my dog, Bandit, and more pix from Africa

*someone asked for a separate area for discussion about my lighthouse books, resources, and trivia (this info is currently included with travel guidebooks).

*several of you asked for more travel deals and tips

*some appreciate that the site has been formatted so that it displays properly on all mobile devices

*no one got the notification they signed up for so that you know when I post something new

Thanks for your feedback. We have fixed the notification issue so that has been addressed. As always, I do post a great deal of info about travel deals and tips but you may not be aware that it can be found under Travel Reports and my Terrance Talks Travel blog. I’m not going to make any big changes at the moment but the next makeover we do on the site can include a separate area for my lighthouse books, resources, and trivia. For now you will have to access that info by clicking on my travel guidebooks. There is a pic of Bandit at the end of this post and I will try to add more Africa pix as soon as I get time. I have been out of the country for several weeks so I am still catching up. I did post several images from African Adventure that can be found here.

FYI: I will include a link and synopsis of whatever I have added to the site each week under ‘Author News’. This week’s blog is about travel warnings. You should know that the U.S. government has issued travel warnings for 37 countries. You need to read before going on vacation!

Please feel free to post comments about any of my blog posts. This is how I learn what interests y’all. You will see a ‘leave a reply’ option at the end of every blog. Please be aware that I write three blogs: Ghostly Postings, Nautical News, and Terrance Talks Travel so I discuss a wide range of subjects. In addition to the major makeover on my website, there are a few other big changes happening. I joined Twitter so look for tweets from me. Feel free to ‘follow me’ and help me learn how to use hashtags and DM and how to retweet. I have been told that I am doing everything wrong, so help me (please!). Also, I have changed my Facebook page so be sure to check it out and “like” me (please!). I am told this is important not just because we all want to be liked, but because this is the only way you will get news from me from now on.

Lastly, I have been talked into another new endeavor. In August, I will launch my very first podcast. Is launch the right word? Anyway, the topic will be a surprise, but you can rest assured that it will be a fun and informative show. As the author of titles covering a whole range of topics — including cheap travel trips, spooky stories,  plundering pirates, and more — I have plenty of things to talk about, so stay tuned for details on how you can subscribe via iTunes.
