New Year, New Books

I’m excited that it’s a new year with new possibilities AND NEW BOOKS!

Like everyone else, I have had to make many adjustments in the last couple of years because of COVID. Thankfully, I have been able to keep working but much has changed. For instance, I haven’t done speaking engagements, book fairs, or workshops during all of this. The good news is that I have had more time for writing! But I have had to revise my destinations. I typically take long trips to far flung places but have kept that to a minimum during Covid. So instead of going to Sri Lanka and Madagascar, I traveled to Savannah, Myrtle Beach, and the Outer Banks. Okay, so that wasn’t a real big hardship. Okay, so it wasn’t a hardship at all!

I am a Carolina girl and Savannah reminds me so much of Charleston that I love any excuse to spend time there. And the same is true for the Outer Banks and Myrtle Beach. Despite all the development, I always feel like I have stepped into a special, magical place as soon as I arrive at the Outer Banks. I love greater Myrtle Beach because it has miles and miles of beaches but also so much entertainment, from House of Blues to WonderWorks.

These coastal communities have beautiful beaches, historic lighthouses, yummy food, special souvenirs, quirky museums, fun tours, cool attractions, intriguing histories, wild ponies, a seaside ghost town, wildlife refuges, idyllic islands, and much more!
