If you’re like me and bought your pumpkins early (I couldn’t resist!), you may be concerned about their longevity. Fret not! If you follow my simple instructions, your uncarved pumpkins will last 2 -3 months!
Step 1: Rinse pumpkins in cold water with a few teaspoons of bleach added.
Step 2: Dry thoroughly and then spray with WD-40 (be sure to spray all of the pumpkin, especially the bottom)
Step 3: Do not subject them to intense heat (ideal temp is 50 – 70 degrees F) and best if not in direct sunlight. Also, do not place pumpkins on concrete or on rugs. If you plan to display them on a rug or concrete, place something underneath the pumpkins, such as cardboard or paper bags.
