Real & Virtual Halloween Fun

Filed Under: Hints for Halloween Tagged With: Halloween, Halloween party tips, Halloween things to do, haunted places

For those who don’t feel safe going to an event that draws a crowd or just prefer to be home on Halloween, there is still lots of real and virtual Halloween fun you can have! Let’s start with the virtual fun. I’m talking about real haunted places that offer virtual tours.

VIRTUAL TOURS OF REAL HAUNTED PLACES & MORE

Winchester Mystery House is one of the most mysterious and haunted houses in America. It was built by the Winchester Rifle Company heiress, Sarah Winchester. She built this weird house that had stairs leading nowhere, secret passageways, and doors that opened into thin air so you could literally fall to your death if you didn’t watch where you stepped. The house is so oddly designed that every time a room count is done, the total comes up different. Check out the video to see for yourself!

Paris Catacombs are an underground cemetery of sorts. They stretch across Paris and are only partially mapped. They are creepy and intriguing. According to legend, there are people who live deep in the catacombs, like a secret society. Today, you can take a tour of them but be sure to stay with the group because some have gotten lost and have subsequently died inside the catacombs before they could find their way out. Best just to take a virtual tour!

Island of the Dolls has a nice ring to it but it is anything but. This is one of the creepiest and most haunted places in the world. Take the tour to see for yourself if you don’t believe!

MORE REAL & VIRTUAL HALLOWEEN FUN

Eastern State Penitentiary offers a virtual tour of its haunted cell blocks and buildings. At Halloween, they offer special haunted events, including a speakeasy in mobster Al Capone’s former cell.

Salem Witch Trials at the Salem Witch Museum can be experienced virtually. The Salem witch trials were a series of prosecutions of people accused of witchcraft in colonial Massachusetts between February 1692 and May 1693. More than two hundred people were accused. Thirty were found guilty, nineteen of whom were executed by hanging. Step back in time and experience the trial online as if you were there!

Grimm Escape is a virtual escape room. An evil witch has cast a spell and you must break it if you hope to ever get home.

Virtual Halloween Parties are 90 minutes of games, costumes, and competitions done online. Sort of like a Zoom call only not a meeting but a party!
