Do you want to write a book? Have you been thinking about it for a long time but haven’t done anything about it? Why not? If it’s because you don’t know how to get started then take heart. I have mapped it all out for you in my new book, Stop Talking & Start Writing Your Book. You’ll learn how to outline your book, how to develop your characters, how to pace your story, how to decide your point of view and SO MUCH MORE!
As many of you know, I co-host A Writer’s Journey: From Blank Page to Published with Sara Whitford. This fall will mark our third season. I can’t believe it! During one of our discussions Sara said that I had so much info to share that I should write a book. But it still didn’t occur to me to write a writing book–until I started seeing some writing books advertised that said it was possible to write a book in 24 hours AND even if you didn’t have an idea or hated to write! What??? I decided I had to write this book in the hopes that folks would buy it rather than one of those other books that aren’t going to be any help for wanna be writers.
The truth is that A LOT goes into writing a book. It is hard work. But it is also incredibly fulfilling. I’ve been a writer for more than fifteen years. I have been earning a living as a full-time writer for almost fourteen years. I have written 28 fiction and nonfiction books. All of my titles are still in print. A few are in their tenth printing! Some are best-sellers. Almost all of them sell well. So I know a thing or two about writing, publishing, and marketing books. Furthermore, I have already made most of the mistakes an author can make so I can help you avoid them.
So if you’ve been thinking about it longer than you care to admit and would like to do something about your dream then now’s the time. Not next week. Not tomorrow. Not later. Now!

I’m really excited about this new series. I am proud too. I think these are really good resources, if I do say so myself!
