Three Foods I Dare You To Try While Traveling

1. Haggis. It may be a favorite of the Scottish people but to the rest of the world it just sounds gross. Haggis is made by chopping up the liver, heart and lungs of a sheep and mixing them with diced onion, spices and oatmeal. Next, you pack this mixture in a sheep’s stomach, tightly secure the ends and boil it for a few hours.

2. Blood pudding. I kid you not! In certain parts of Asia, UK, and Europe, blood pudding is commonly served. It is prepared differently according to the region. For example, in the UK, it is popular at breakfast. It is a sausage patty made from cooked blood and fillers, such as fat and grains. It has a dark greasy appearance, which has also earned it the nickname of black pudding.

3. Durian fruit. It is so stinky that it has been outlawed on public transportation, such as subways and airports, and in many public places. What does it smell like? Think sewage, rotten garbage, and body odor! Obviously, it tastes better than it smells or else no one would consume it. Durian fruit is indigenous to Asia, especially Thailand, but can be found at some Asian grocery stores in the U.S. and elsewhere in the world.
