It’s summer vacation planning so the next few blogs will be devoted to vacation planning. There are so many reasons to go to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park but here are my top three:
- Bears! There are two black bears per every square mile of the park.
- Nature! More than 17,000 known species of plants and animals but scientists believe there may be as many as 80,000 yet to be documented species in the Smokies.
- Bragging rights! At close to 7,000-feet, Clingman’s Dome is the highest point in the Smokies. You will be rewarded with a great view from the observation tower of Clingman’s Dome.
