You need to make plans right now  if you want to go to one of the best Halloween parties in America. Despite being on the expensive side, tickets do sell out fast for these special seasonal events. No one does Halloween like Disney! Why Disney Is the Most Magical Place on Earth at Halloween…

DisneyWorld offers two great attractions: Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and HalloWishes Dessert Party, which is a private party held in conjunction with Mickey’s Not-so-Scary Halloween Party.

When: August 29 – November 1 (select nights).

Where: HalloWishes Dessert Party is held at Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a park-wide event.

What: HalloWishes Dessert Party offers fabulous fun and ghoulish goodies, including Halloween cupcakes, chocolate-dipped strawberries, fresh fruit, chocolate mousse, ice cream, and specialty desserts created by a Disney pastry chef. Beverages include signature lemonade, sparking cider, gourmet hot chocolate, coffee, tea, and more. The restaurant will be festive to the hilt with lights and decorations appropriate for a Disney Halloween bash.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party features character appearances made by popular Disney villains, such as Maleficent, Cruella de Vil, and Ursula. Lots of popular Disney songs will be played, including the Oogie Bogie Song and the Skeleton Dance. Trick-or-treating trails are all over the park, as well as a Boo To You Parade and Fireworks Spectacular Show nightly. Costumes are encouraged for all ages, but there are costume guidelines (see Disney website for details). There are more special events, such as the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular and Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet. Also, many attractions will be open just for party goers, including Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Mad Tea Party, Space Mountain, Dumbo, Journey of the Little Mermaids, and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Not only is the park decorated for Halloween, but most attractions feature seasonal decorations, themes, and special effects. For example, there are supernatural beings on Space Mountain and Jack Skeleton (and his dog, Zero) in the Haunted Mansion.

Cost: $47 for ages 3-9 and $79 for ages 10 and up for the HalloWishes Dessert Party. Children under the age of three do not need a ticket. Participants must also have a theme park admission ticket and a ticket to Mickeys Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in order to be able to buy a ticket to this special event. The price for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party increase in price as it gets closer to Halloween. So, if you go in September instead of October, you can save more than $25pp. The price varies from $74 – $99 for ages 10 and up, plus tax.

Miscellaneous: HalloWishes Dessert Party participants are able to view the special seasonal fireworks from a boo-tiful advantage point overlooking Cinderella’s Castle. The party starts at 9:15 p.m. on the nights it is held and the Fireworks Spectacular Show begins at 10:15 p.m. nightly. The park closes early to regular ticket holders on party nights, so party goers get an extra, private three hours in the park. Disneyland has special Halloween events too. While not the same as DisneyWorld, the parties are comparable.
